Against the backdrop of the booming cloud computing market and the strong development of technology, the DCCI Summit 2023 is seen as a place where businesses and organizations can find new technology information and solutions, thereby optimizing their digital transformation journey and bringing about new and effective business models.

In his opening speech at the event, Mr. Hoang Van Ngoc – CEO of Viettel IDC said that with over 5 billion people worldwide, every minute generates terabytes of data to connect and share information on platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, etc.

Currently, the number of data centers in Vietnam is still very modest compared to other countries in the region, mainly scattered across organizations, units, and state agencies. This creates a huge challenge for information security as each unit must protect its own database, especially with the explosive growth of digital data transformation.

Regarding “Data sovereignty and enforcement in Vietnam”, Mr. Tran Nguyen Chung – Head of the Information System Security Department, Authority of Information Security (Vietnam Ministry of Information and Communications) shared that the development of digital infrastructure, with a focus on broadband telecommunications and cloud computing infrastructure, has been set as a priority in many strategies, programs, and directives of the government.

In order for Vietnam to become a leading country in digital transformation, it needs to be a digital hub of the world, with internationally ranked cloud computing infrastructure and many international submarine cable systems built by Vietnam. To achieve this goal, the cooperation of domestic and foreign businesses is essential to jointly develop Vietnam’s digital infrastructure and cloud computing market.

After the opening speech, the conference was divided into 4 specialized sessions, among which the Data Center Room session featured leading experts presenting new emerging technologies, innovations, as well as sustainable management and operations for data centers.

In the Cloud Room session, the speakers discussed and exchanged experiences about new solutions and tools that help with the journey to the cloud for businesses (such as Multicloud, DevSecOps, Kubernetes, etc.), advanced security methods on the cloud, as well as modernizing applications.

Meanwhile, in the DX Room (Digital Transformation Session), new platform technologies, optimization and intelligent solutions for production operations, enhanced customer experience, and accelerating the digital transformation journey for businesses were introduced.

Especially, for the very first time, the topic of solutions and technologies for the healthcare industry has been included in the conference program at the Health Tech Room, introducing the latest modern technology solutions such as AI and IoT in the digital ecosystem along with practical models in Taiwan – the place with the most advanced healthcare system in Asia.
