The conference was held in the context of Vietnam’s strong infrastructural development and its reputation as a leader in information technology. In his opening remarks, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Minh Tuan, the Deputy Director in charge of the Institute of Information and Communications Strategy, provided insightful sharing that reflected the market for data centers and cloud computing in Vietnam. He also provided an overview of the short-, medium-, and long-term future orientations.

Following Mr. Tran Minh Tuan’s speech, the conference went on to feature three primary sessions focused on the market that featured relevant topics being actively debated, including the Data Center Room, Cloud Room, and Trending Room.

The debate on the data center market’s developments and influencing factors was the highlight of the thematic session, which was led by Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tuan, Head of Technical Department.

Leading Cloud professionals presented information on infrastructure modernization, cloud migration from physical storage, and security solutions during the cloud session.

With the help of the Trending session, delegates actively participated in discussions about blockchain technology, artificial intelligence (AI), the Metaverse virtual world, and micro segmentation/zero trust security methods with the goal of enhancing network security.

Additionally, it is thought that the rise in foreign investment as well as recent mergers and acquisitions is a positive indicator that will help businesses of all sizes enter the Vietnamese market. As a result, it is anticipated that both the data center and cloud computing businesses would experience tremendous development.

The experts evaluate that Vietnam’s infrastructure is not only well-protected but is also becoming a sustainable IT solution, thanks to the policies of the Vietnamese government and service providers. Currently, Vietnam has around 27 data centers located in major cities including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Da Nang, Binh Duong, and Can Tho, with various scales and operational certifications that help meet the needs and standards of all types of businesses.
